除了给孩子看英文动画，每日听英语睡前故事外，爸爸妈妈还可以在平时放一些欢快简单的儿童英文歌曲、对话，让孩子边玩边听，不占用孩子任何活动时间。孩子在反复听的过程中，学习了语音语调，建立了语感。歌曲中尽管有学过的，没学过的，但听多了，脑子里有了深刻的印象，一旦学到就有似曾相识的感觉，掌握起来相对容易多了。
另外，爸爸妈妈还可以在一些具体物品上相应的贴上英语单词，比如说门，钢琴，药箱，杯柜等，孩子即使不认识上面的字，却知道是英文，看到时就会引起对英语的反应和使用，无声中给孩子一种英语提示。
4、及时鼓励让孩子富有成就感
爸爸妈妈要随时关注孩子的情绪。如果孩子很疲惫或正在闹情绪，这时候千万不要再逼着孩子继续学。否则，英语就成了孩子负面情绪的触发点。还有些爸爸妈妈对孩子要求比较高，会将自己的孩子与其他孩子做比较，这会在无形中给孩子带来巨大的压力，渐渐地就不爱学习英语了。
在孩子学习英语的过程中，家长应该以鼓励为主。当孩子在学习英语时取得进步时，家长可以进行适当的表扬，让孩子产生成就感，下次他就更努力了。
