如何培养小学英语朗读习惯?

(一)教给学生朗读技巧和方法,培养良好的朗读习惯。

  “授之以鱼不如授之以渔”。教师不妨给学生一个学习的拐杖,教他们一些朗读的方法。首先,教师要要求学生在朗读英语时,眼看词句,口读音调,耳听读音,脑思语义,多种感官同时参与语言学习活动。其次,小学生的朗读以模仿为主,在模仿过程中教师要做必要的指导,如句型朗读中重音连读,语音语调等,注重培养学生按意群朗读的习惯,指导学生以词组和句子为单位进行朗读,帮助学生纠正逢词朗读的不良习惯。对于低年级的学生,可让学生进行指读。指读的习惯就是培养学生对单词或句子的有意注意。读到哪,指到哪,既使学生集中了注意力,又训练了学生认读单词、句子的能力。对于高年级的学生,可让学生借助字典进行预习或自学,培养阅读能力。

  (二)抓好课内课外的朗读

  1、加强课内朗读

  (1)课堂上重视模仿和大声的跟读,

  小学生对语音比较敏感,因此,在课堂教学中教师应多让学生听标准的英语,并要求他们模仿并大声的朗读,以学会标准、地道的英语语音、语调。例如,《新标准小学英语》教材配套的录音磁带就是教师和学生最实用的标准读音示范磁带,教师在教学中可以指导学生反复跟读并模仿。

  (2)课堂活动中采用多种朗读方式组织教学

  小学生好动,争强好胜,而且乐于表现自我,如果训练方法单一,学生就会丧失兴趣,因此在课堂活动中,教师要根据朗读材料的类型,积极采用多种手段组织学生朗读。

  在教学单词时,为了调节课堂气氛,提高学生学习的热情,促进其积极思维,主动学习,教师可以采用男女生、各组之间的“竞赛读”、“接龙读”,利用单词卡片的“猜读”,可以将单词编成歌谣进行“儿歌读”,还可以借助于身体部位开展“肢体语言助读”等以巩固新授单词。

  在教学对话时,可以采用以小组为单位的分角色朗读、然后要求学生表演读,教师在指导学生分角色朗读时可以告诉他们:爷爷奶奶的声音可以沙哑一点,爸爸妈妈的声音可以有力一点,小孩的声音可以稚嫩一点;愉悦时的声音可以欢快一点,愤怒时的声音可以严厉一点,烦恼时和悲伤时的声音可以低沉一点,生病的声音可以虚弱一点,感到意外的声音可以夸张一点。这样的朗读可以激发学生读英语的兴趣,培养学生良好的朗读习惯。

在教学短文时,教师可以组织学生听录音读、个别朗读、个人或小组轮流读、齐声朗读、让语音语调好的学生领读,也可以开展“最佳模仿秀”挑战读等活动,使学生在丰富多彩的活动中增强对英语朗读的兴趣和信心。

(3)开课必读。

  当上课的铃声一响,学生不是静悄悄的等待老师来上课,而是要在朗朗的读书声中开始新课,所以当教师走进教室时,不是急忙开始新课教学,而是先检查学生读英语的情况,如书是否打开在正在读的那一夜,是否在用“心”读英语等等,并及时的对朗读中存在的不良习惯予以指正。

  2、注重课外朗读

  当前小学英语学科的特殊性使课内的朗读训练极为有限,所以,把朗读延伸到课外势在必行。教师应要求学生在课后及时听录音,并反复跟读及时复习新学的内容,养成每天用15分钟朗读英语的良好习惯,同时通过“教师→小组长→组员”的方式或家长签字的方式进行检查监督。

  朗读是学习语言知识必须掌握的一种基本技能,是学好一门语言的基础。因此,在课内课外,要努力激发学生的朗读兴趣,培养学生的朗读能力,为学生以后的英语学习打下良好的基础。
