Title: My Notes on English Morning Exercises in Kindergarten
As a kindergarten teacher, I always start the day by leading my little students in a fun and energetic morning exercise routine. Recently, I introduced an English version of our morning exercises, which has been a fun and exciting addition to our daily routine. Here are my notes on the English morning exercises in our kindergarten class:
1: Introducing the Routine
I started by explaining to the children that we were going to do our morning exercises in English. I used visual aids like flashcards and illustrations to help them understand the names of the exercises. I also provided simple instructions in English to help them follow along.
2: Warm-Up Exercises
We started with simple warm-up exercises like stretching our arms, legs, and neck. I used words like “stretch” and “reach” to describe the movements. We also did some jumping jacks and squats, which the kids loved!
3: Action Songs
Playing action songs is a great way to get kids moving and learning English at the same time. We sang songs like “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, and “The Hokey Pokey”. The children had so much fun singing and dancing along, and they quickly learned the lyrics and actions.
4: Animal Movements
Another fun activity was to have children move like different animals while practicing English vocabulary related to animals. We pretended to be lions, tigers, monkeys, and birds. This activity not only helped children improve their listening skills but also taught them new words in English.
Overall, the English morning exercises have been a great addition to our daily routine, making the children more active and engaged while helping them learn English in a fun way.
